Georges River Council is inviting community members to share their thoughts on how the upcoming upgrade to the Olds Park Sporting Facility will influence the way they use the park.
The upgrade, part of Council’s 2025/26 Capital Works Program, will deliver a safer, more accessible, and inclusive facility for all park users. With the final design now complete, Council is seeking feedback to better understand how these improvements might change community engagement with Olds Park.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “Olds Park is a vital part of our community, and we are excited to deliver a new premium asset for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re a player, a parent, a volunteer, or a visitor, your input will help us continue to make Olds Park a great space to relax and play.”
Key features of the new facility include:
-
Accessible changerooms.
-
Upgraded public toilets and lighting.
-
Enhanced user facilities and spectator areas.
-
Inclusive design for female sporting participants.
Council is particularly interested in hearing from residents about:
-
How they currently use Olds Park
-
What the new facility will mean for their future visits
-
How the upgrades might affect usage during different times of day, including evenings
-
What the improvements mean for different groups, including families, sporting clubs, and people living with disabilities
Community members can provide feedback by completing the online form on Council’s Your Say Projects page or submitting a hard copy at Georges River Libraries or Council’s Civic Centre Hurstville.
