Get Crafty: Mindful Mark-Making at Clive James Library, Kogarah
This is a Council led event.
08/10/2026 - Clive James Library and Service Centre, Kogarah.
A hands-on workshop exploring mark-making as a creative self care practice.
In this workshop we'll explore mark-making as a simple, accessible self care practice. Working across a range of different art mediums, you'll discover what each one feels like in your hand, what kinds of marks feel satisfying, repetitive, soothing or surprising.
This is not about making something perfect. It is about slowing down, noticing and letting the process do its thing. Repetitive mark-making has a quietly balancing effect on a busy mind and this workshop gives you the time and space to experience that for yourself.
You'll leave with a finished handmade book of your own marks, a simple creative practice you can return to any time.
In this workshop you'll:
-
Explore a range of art mediums and mark-making techniques.
-
Discover what feels soothing, satisfying and surprising in the process.
-
Create and fold your own handmade book to take home.
-
Leave with a simple creative self-care practice to return to.
No experience needed — everything is provided. Adults only.
