Step into the Museum & Gallery and explore Anatomy Lessons with the artist, Michele Beevors, in this unique drawing adventure for young creatives.

With a clipboard and your own activity sheet, you'll journey through the exhibition, discovering fascinating facts about the animals featured in Michele's extraordinary skeleton sculptures. Along the way, you'll sketch, observe and respond to the artworks through a series of fun drawing prompts, learning how artists can use careful observation to inspire their work.

As you explore, Michele will share stories about her creative process, the making of her sculptures and why protecting wildlife and the natural world is at the heart of her artworks.

At the end of the session, your completed activity sheet will be folded into your very own artist's booklet, a personalised keepsake filled with your drawings, discoveries and ideas to take home.

Perfect for curious young artists and animal lovers, this special one-off workshop is a rare opportunity to create alongside an internationally recognised artist while building your observation and drawing skills.

• For participants aged 11 years and under, parents and/or guardians of children must remain at Hurstville Museum & Gallery for the duration of the program. For safety reasons, we allow each parent and/or guardian to be responsible of a maximum of 4 children per session.

• A parent and/or guardian must be aged 16 years or over.

• For participants under the age of 16, parent and/or guardian contact details must be provided at the time of booking.

• Programs are designed for specific age groups, and children must meet the age requirements stated in the program description.

• Due to class size restrictions, younger or older siblings are not permitted in the activity.

• Bookings are essential for all activities.

• No refunds for cancellations or missed bookings.

• Program swapping is not permitted.

• Programs are fully supervised by qualified staff.

• While all reasonable precautions are taken, participation in the program is at the participants’, parent/guardian’s own risk.

• The museum and its staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the program unless caused by gross negligence.

Attendance at our events may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or videos. These images may be used by Georges River Council and Hurstville Museum & Gallery in their publications, social media, council’s website or newspaper. Please notify staff if you do not wish to be filmed.
