Compost & Worm Farming Workshop

This is a Council led event.

30/09/2026 - Hurstville Senior Citizens Centre.

Ready to turn your food scraps into garden gold this spring?

As the weather warms up, it's the perfect time to start composting and make the most of your food scraps. In recognition of International Food Loss and Waste Awareness Day and World Food Day, join Georges River Council for a hands-on composting and worm farming workshop.

Presented by Peter from Scrap Recycling, who has more than 30 years of experience in sustainability education, you'll learn how to turn food scraps into nutrient-rich compost for your garden.

Discover easy ways to reduce household waste, improve your soil, and give your spring garden a natural boost. Whether you're new to composting or looking to improve your existing setup, you'll gain practical tips and the confidence to get started.

Come along, meet like-minded residents, and learn how composting can help reduce food waste while benefiting your garden.
