Georges River Council invites you to attend one of our Community Capacity Building Workshops, designed to help local community groups and organisations strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the requirements for planning and delivering events in the Georges River area.
 
Whether you are organising a small community gathering or a larger public event, this workshop will provide valuable guidance and practical tools to support successful event delivery.

This free workshop is designed to support local community organisations in the planning, delivery and management of safe, successful and engaging community events.
Participants will gain practical information on:

• Council event application processes.

• Event planning and management requirements.

• Obtaining permits and approvals.

• Risk management and safety considerations.

• Applying for Council grants and funding opportunities.

• Recent changes to event grant requirements and procedures.

• Accessing Council resources and support.

The workshop will also provide an opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and connect with other community organisations. We encourage all community groups, not-for-profit organisations and event organisers to attend.
