Art in the Afternoon: Drypoint etching for beginners

This is a Council led event.

08/11/2026 - Hurstville Museum & Gallery

Join visual arts teacher and artist Heather Davidson for a hands-on introduction to the art of drypoint etching.

During this two-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of drypoint printmaking and create your own original print. You’ll design and etch your own printing plate before using etching inks and a printing press to bring your artwork to life.

No previous printmaking experience is required, although some confidence in drawing will be helpful.

Please note: wear comfortable clothing and covered shoes.

Come along, get creative and discover the fascinating process of printmaking!
