Have your say: H.V. Evatt Memorial Park Master Plan now in development

08/02/2024

Georges River Council is taking proactive steps in shaping the future of community spaces, commencing the development of the H.V. Evatt Memorial Park Master Plan.

Council is actively seeking community feedback on existing usage and desired features of the parkland.

The Master Plan aims to improve the quality of community amenity, create inclusive and cohesive spaces and active and passive recreation facilities.

The development of the H.V. Evatt Memorial Park Master Plan comes after the Peakhurst Park Master Plan has moved into its concept design phase following preliminary community consultation.

Georges River Council Mayor Sam Elmir shared his thoughts on the importance of community feedback for H.V. Evatt Memorial Park saying, “One of the key advantages of community engagement in the context of Master Plans is the diverse perspectives it brings to the table.

“Council acknowledges the community’s role in shaping these plans and I look forward to gauging their thoughts on what we can do improve H.V. Evatt Memorial Park,” said the Mayor.

The H.V. Evatt Memorial Park Master Plan consultation period is open until 25 February 2024 and the community is encouraged to share their thoughts.
