  • Pesticide Use in Georges River Council

    Georges River Council will be carrying out broad scale weed control during November 2018 to control specific turf weeds (Wireweed, broad leaf weeds), the areas to be sprayed will be within and around the turf sporting fields, appropriate notification signage will be displayed at each location prior to and during the spray application.
  • Planning Proposal for 12-14 Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights

    At its meeting on 9 July 2018, Council’s Environment and Planning Committee recommended that Council publicly exhibit the Planning Proposal to amend the Hurstville Local Environmental Plan 2012 to rezone 12-14 Pindari Road, Peakhurst Heights from SP2 Infrastructure (Church) to R2 Low Density Residential with new maximum height and floor space ratio (FSR) controls, minimum lot size control and an amendment to Schedule 1 Additional Permitted Uses to permit office premises and restaurant or cafĂ©.
  • Postponed Night Works, King Georges Road, Penshurst

    Council wishes to advise that the stormwater diversion works, scheduled to be carried out on the evening of Monday, 3 September and Tuesday, 4 September in Lane 1 (kerbside northbound) of King Georges Road at the Penshurst Park construction site, have been postponed due to wet weather.
  • Temporary Closure of Myles Dunphy Reserve

    Council has made the decision to temporarily close the walking tracks throughout Myles Dunphy Reserve, Oatley, due to the discovery of Phytophthora within the reserve.

    All bush tracks within the reserve will be closed until an Environmental Management Control Plan for the Phytophthora in the Reserve is completed.
