Consultation period extended: Have your say on the Jubilee Stadium Precinct Plan of Management

07/02/2024

The community consultation period for the Jubilee Stadium Precinct Plan of Management has now been extended until Friday 1 March 2024.

Georges River Council is seeking community feedback to understand how spaces within the precinct are used, what the community values about them and how their experiences could be improved.

This initial consultation will be followed by more in depth consultation with users and residents.

Comprising the area between Princes Highway, English and Park Streets and Jubilee Avenue, the precinct is made up of numerous open space and facilities. These include Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah Park, the war memorial, legend’s walk and community buildings occupied by Kogarah Community Centre and Nan Tien Buddhist Temple.

All Councils must prepare a Plan of Management for all parks and reserves, following the amended Crown Land Management Act 2016.

Georges River Council Mayor Sam Elmir said, “Council has extended the initial consultation period for the Jubilee Stadium Precinct Plan of Management to provide our community with more time to share their feedback.

“We value what members of our community have to say, with feedback being an integral part of our decision-making process,” added the Mayor.

Council is initially consulting through its Your Say platform while the engagement of a consultant is formalised, which will allow for further opportunities for the community and relevant groups to have their say.
