National Simultaneous Storytime (Council Led Event)

22/05/2024 - Hurstville Plaza

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, family day cares, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.

This year we have a range of events and activities for everyone to participate and inspire your world!

Wednesday 22 May 2024

Hurstville Plaza | 11.00am-1.30pm:

Children of all ages are invited to help make 2024 the biggest year yet for National Simultaneous Storytime at Georges River Libraries!

Join us at Hurstville Plaza for a live screening of Bowerbird Blues being read by author Aura Parker on the big screen! Have fun parading around with a giant cockatoo and rainbow lorikeet and enjoy a bird themed craft run by library staff. Bring a picnic blanket and some lunch for a fun day out with feathered friends.
