Sydney Dogs & Cats Home - Strathfield

Council has partnered with Sydney Dogs & Cats Home to provide a discounted desexing, vaccination, health check and free microchipping service to the community. Microchipping is a necessary requirement for all cats and dogs in NSW to ensure they can be identified and reunited with you if lost. Council highly recommends that all cats and dogs are desexed as it can have significant health, behavioural and cost benefits.

Who is eligible?
All cat or dog owners of Georges River Council over 18 years of age. Proof of ownership for non-microchipped animals must be provided by way of a statutory declaration.

What services are being offered?

• Free microchipping.
• Discounted desexing fee of $29.00 per cat and $49.00 per dog.

What do you need to do to participate?

• Bookings are essential through our online booking form below or by contacting customer service. Valid ID showing your place of residence is required upon booking.
• All services will be completed at Sydney Dogs & Cats Home veterinary clinic in Strathfield South. Once the booking form is submitted you will be contacted by a team member to organise an available date and time.
• Pension card and Low-Income Health Care Card holders may be eligible for a pet pickup/ drop off service.
