Grants and Sponsorship

Georges River Council's Grants, Donations and Sponsorship programs support initiatives and projects that build the social, cultural, environmental and economic life of the Georges River area. Through these programs, Council partners with the community and businesses to further the actions, strategic directions and vision of Council's Community Strategic Plan.

Council has adopted two new policies governing grants, donations and sponsorship programs.

  • Grants and Donations Policy - this Policy guides the application process, allocation and evaluation of funding to address community needs under Section 356 of the Local Government Act 1993.

  • Sponsorship Policy - this Policy provides an overarching framework to outline the principles of sponsorship to establish a coordinated and transparent approach.

For enquiries about the Grants and Donations Policy, contact Council’s Grants Officer on (02) 9330 6050 or grants@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au.

For enquiries about the Sponsorship Policy, contact Council's Events team on events@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au.
