Georges River Council invites residents to celebrate Christmas with its annual Magic of Christmas picnic concert. There will also be extra fun events and sessions all through December.
Our Magic of Christmas celebration will return to Carss Bush Park on Saturday 6 December 2025. This free event will be full of festive fun, tasty food and drinks, and an amazing lineup of entertainment!
Guests can expect a fun-filled program with headliner, ARIA award winner, Conrad Sewell. The lineup includes the Georges Estate Choir, Georges River Voices, and a lively dance party led by MC Jayden Rodrigues.
Families can join in a reusable gift-wrapping workshop as well as making scratch-board ornaments to take home. There will be a special visit from Santa Claus and his elf, with the night ending with a spectacular fireworks show.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Throughout December, Georges River will host many festive activities for all ages:

Christmas Craft Movie Night at the Civic Theatre.

Art in the Afternoon: Vision Board Collage.

Art/Play/Make & Artzone for kids to create gifts and decorations.

Baby Explorers: Christmas for sensory play and crafts.

Wreaths from the Wild for nature-inspired wreath making.

Community Christmas Concert at Clive James Library, Kogarah.

When: Saturday 6 December 2025, 4.30pm – 9.00pm.
Where: Carss Bush Park, Carwar Avenue, Carss Park.
Cost: Free.
What to bring: Picnic rugs and chairs.
