    In response to recent community feedback, Georges River Council will be undertaking a big clean-up of Forest Road, Hurstville.
  • Notification of tree removal and replacement along Gungah Bay Road, Oatley

    Georges River Council has received a number of requests from local residents, and more recently from Ausgrid, for the removal of the Eucalyptus microcorys (Tallowwood) under power lines.
  • Hours of Operation Christmas/New Year 2017/18

    Georges River Council’s Service Centres and Libraries will have amended operating hours over the Christmas and New Year Period.
  • Draft Hurstville City Centre Urban Design Strategy

    Council sought community feedback on the draft Hurstville City Centre Urban Design Strategy to review and update the existing urban design principles for the Hurstville City Centre, review the existing development standards (including maximum building height and maximum FSR) and prepare block by block urban design controls. Submissions closed on 10 November 2017.

  • Fireworks at Magic of Christmas, Carss Bush Park, Carss Park this Saturday.

    Georges River Council advises the public in particular families with small children and pet owners that All Occasions Pyrotechnics will light fireworks on Kogarah Bay at Carss Bush Park, Carwar Ave, Carss Park on Saturday 9 December 2017 between 8:30pm - 8:45pm.

  • Council's Annual Financial Statements 2016/17

    In accordance with Section 418 (3) of the Local Government Act, Council advises that the ordinary Council meeting to be held on 27 November 2017 will include the presentation of the Audited Financial Statements and the Auditors Reports for the period 13 May 2016 to 30 June 2017.
  • Alcohol Free Zone on Public Exhibition

    Alcohol-Free Zones aim to reduce alcohol related crime, violence and anti-social behaviour in identified locations in order to help create a safer environment for the whole community. Georges River Council undertook a review of the Kogarah CBD Alcohol Free Zone (AFZ).
