Have Your Say on the Future of Carss Bush Park and Todd Park

13/11/2025

Georges River Council is inviting residents to share their views on the Draft Master Plan and Draft Plan of Management for Carss Bush Park and Todd Park. These plans are now on public exhibition following approval from Crown Lands.

The Master Plan outlines a vision for the parks.  It focuses on better walking paths, upgraded playgrounds, improved sports facilities, and landscaping to protect the environment.

The Plan of Management shows how Council will care for the land. It includes rules for activities, leases, and ways to protect cultural and natural values.

Mayor Elise Borg said, “The plans are an exciting step forward for the community. These plans will help us make these loved spaces even better for families, sports groups, and everyone who enjoys the outdoors.”

“We want to hear your ideas so we can create parks that meet the needs of our community now and into the future.”

The Carss Bush Park and Todd Park Master Plan and Plan of Management is a separate project from the ongoing Carss Park Pool redevelopment. The NSW Office of Sport is leading the Pool project and more information is available at Council’s Carss Park Pool Project webpage.

The draft plans will be on public exhibition from 5 November to 17 December 2025. Residents can view the documents online. They can also provide feedback by submitting a hard copy form. This can be done via email, post, or in person at Council Centres and Libraries.

Council will host a Community Drop-in Session on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at Carss Bush Park from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm. They will also hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at Georges River Civic Centre, starting at 6.00 pm. These events are a great chance to view the plans, ask questions, and learn how to make a submission.

Your feedback will help shape the final plans before they are adopted and improvements begin. For more information, visit Council’s Your Say Webpage.
