Georges River Council is inviting the community to provide feedback on a new Adventure Playspace at Peakhurst Park.
An Adventure Playspace is designed to challenge young people physically and mentally while keeping them safe.
The Playspace was identified in the Peakhurst Park Spatial Framework completed in 2024. The Framework involved multiple community consultations to guide future park improvements.
The project will transform underutilised areas in the eastern corner of the park, near the synthetic soccer field, into a space where young people can explore and be active.
The space will include active areas for playing and skill-building. This includes mountain biking trails, a parkour park, and a multi-use basketball court. As well as quieter passive areas with lawns, a rain garden, and pathways to relax and watch.
Council is seeking feedback on a number of design elements. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to share their thoughts in a short survey.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “An Adventure Playspace gives young people a safe and engaging place to be active, build skills, and connect.
“I encourage community members to provide feedback.
“Your input will help us design a well-loved fun community space.”
The public consultation period is open until Sunday 22 February 2026.
