Georges River Council has awarded a total of $137,000 in funding to support local projects through Round 2 of the 2025-2026 Community and Micro Grants Programs.
A total of 25 not-for-profit groups and residents will receive funding to deliver projects over the next two years. These projects cover important areas such as health and wellbeing, support for young people and families, services for older residents, arts and culture, and programs that bring the community together.
The funded projects respond to the needs of people in the Georges River area and aim to create positive, lasting outcomes for the community, such as:

Youth creative spaces.

Cultural programs.

Domestic and family violence support services.

Digital skills training.
-
Community arts initiatives.
-
Accessible activities for people living with disability.
Successful applications were chosen for their alignment with Council’s Community Strategic Plan, along with key plans like the Disability Inclusion Action Plan and the Social Justice Charter.

The next round – Community and Micro Grants 2026-2027 Round 1 – will open on Monday 6 July 2026.
