Fine drawing with graphite exhibition coming to Hurstville Museum & Gallery

Georges River Council is pleased to be hosting Sydney-based artist John Davies’ exhibition Fine drawing with graphite, which will be on show from 5 – 26 March 2017 at Dragon’s Lair Gallery in Hurstville Museum and Gallery.
 
John has had a long career as a residential and commercial Architectural Designer. His credits include the re-designing of the historic Como Hotel, after it was destroyed by fire.
                                                                                          
As an artist, he expresses his love of nature and the Australian landscape through intricately detailed pencil sketches.
 
Selections of John's recent work were shortlisted as finalists in the Australia-wide Contemporary Art Awards 2015.
 
He has also held a solo art exhibition at Ten Thousand Paces Art Gallery in Bowral, and recently exhibited in the Water Brook Art Exhibition 2016.
 
John’s current works include a variety of drawings that depict Australia's diverse landscape and rich ecological identity.

Opening hours: 10.00am - 4.00pm Tuesday to Saturday, and 2.00pm - 5.00pm Sunday (closed Mondays)
Where: Dragon’s Lair Gallery, Hurstville Museum & Gallery, 14 MacMahon Street, Hurstville
Cost: Free – RSVP for exhibition opening.
Transport: The Hurstville Museum & Gallery is within a short walking distance from Hurstville Train Station and the bus interchange.
