Georges River Council is inviting residents to safely dispose of unwanted household chemicals at the free Household Chemical CleanOut on Sunday 15 March at Mortdale Depot.
Residents can bring household quantities of chemical waste for safe disposal. Accepted items include:
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “Disposing of household chemicals safely keeps our community and environment protected.
“I encourage all residents to take part in this free event and help keep Georges River beautiful.”
This event is sponsored by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA).
Due to the popularity of the event, Council kindly asks attendees to remain in their vehicles and carefully follow traffic directions.
Please note that no items will be accepted at the depot prior to the date and time listed. Placing items on public land without permission is considered Illegal Dumping. It can attract significant fines.

Date: Sunday 15 March 2026.
Location: Mortdale Depot, 100 Roberts Avenue, Mortdale (access from Depot Road).
Time: 9.00am – 3.30pm.
Cost: Free.
