Council takes up the mantle for annual Golf Day

On Friday 3 March 2017 the Georges River Council Charity Golf Day, organised by Lugarno Lions and associated community representatives, will take place at Hurstville Golf Course.
The golf day will include two rounds with approximately 200 players taking part.
Georges River Council Administrator John Rayner said the Golf Day is an important fixture for the local community.
“The Golf Day is an ideal way for golf enthusiasts within our community to contribute to a great cause and have fun while they’re at it,” he said.
“Over the past 14 years the former Hurstville Council had raised over $780,000 for the Cancer Care Centre of St George Hospital through its impressive fundraising initiatives.
“Council hopes to continue to lead the community in this ongoing commitment, and we are grateful for the support for the event within the community,” he added.
The proceeds of this fundraiser will be forwarded to the Cancer Care Centre of St George Hospital.
