Signed Councillor Oath - Leesha Payor
Councillor Payor was first elected to Georges River Council following the local government election in September 2017.
Living in Kogarah Bay ward for most of her life, Councillor Payor has been an active member of the local community. As part of her involvement in the community, Councillor Payor has served upon steering committees of local volunteer community organisations to defend and support the interests of residents and the wider community.
Currently, Councillor Payor is serving on Georges River Council’s committees for Environment and Planning and Assets and Infrastructure, where she is working to ensure planning regulations and zoning restrictions are enforced, and the safety and access needs of residents are addressed.
With this involvement and experience, she believes community wellbeing must be at the heart of all planning decisions with community engagement at every stage.
