Work experience Opportunities

Please note that due to the evolving COVID-19 situation Georges River Council may not be able to guarantee any Work Experience placements for students at this time.

Georges River Council is committed to supporting our local community by offering the opportunity to undertake work experience across a broad range of employment and professional areas. Areas of work experience may include:

  • General Administration
  • Library Services
  • Children’s Services
  • Museum and Gallery
  • Information Technology
  • Human Resources
  • Finance
  • Legal Services
  • Planning
  • Development and Building
  • Sustainability and Waste
  • Project Delivery
  • Engineering
  • Sport & Recreation

While we place as many students as possible due to high demand, we are unable to guarantee that all requests for placements will be met. We encourage that students also apply for work experience at other organisations where possible.
