Troy Bramston to talk about his biography Paul Keating: the Big-Picture Leader' at Hurstville Library


As part of the Sydney Writers’ Festival the Hurstville Library is hosting Troy Bramston who will be discussing his book Paul Keating: The Big-Picture Leader, the definitive biography of Australia’s 24th Prime Minister.

Bramston’s book is the first biography that Keating has actively contributed to in more than two decades.

Drawing on extensive interviews with Keating and those who worked with him, coupled with access to Keating’s extensive personal files, the book tells the story of a political warrior’s rise to power and his life since.

The public are invited to join Troy as he discusses his book and his fascinating subject.

Troy has been a senior writer and columnist with The Australian newspaper and a contributor to Sky News since 2011.

He is the author or editor of eight books, including Paul Keating: the big-picture leader, Rudd, Gillard and beyond, Looking for the light on the hill: modern Labor's challenges, and The dismissal: in the Queen's name (with Paul Kelly).

Troy has worked as a policy and political adviser, and speechwriter, in government, opposition, and the private sector.
