Starlight Cinema to feature in more locations throughout Georges River

22/02/2018

For the first time ever, Georges River Council is bringing the Starlight Cinema series to even more residents, with the popular outdoor movie program to be hosted in more locations across the local area.

Now in its second year, the Georges River community has embraced this Council initiative, with the cinematic event becoming an exciting addition to Council’s annual calendar of free family-friendly events.

The series will kick-off on Saturday 24 February at the new Jubilee Park Adventure Playground, Mortdale. The screening of Lego Batman will coincide with the park’s official opening, which will be held earlier in the day.

Despicable Me 3 will screen at the picturesque Carss Bush Park on Saturday 3 March and Boss Baby will be screened at H.V. Evatt Memorial Park, Lugarno on Saturday 10 March.

These family-friendly events present a wonderful opportunity for community members to get out in their local area and enjoy a relaxing evening outdoors.

Everyone is encouraged to gather their friends and family, pack a picnic dinner, bring a rug or low fold-out chairs, and share a meal under the stars while enjoying an entertaining film. There will also be a number of food vendors to choose from on site.

All Starlight Cinema events are alcohol-free and smoke-free.
