Nominations now open for 2019 St George Business Awards

Georges River Council is proud to be a major sponsor of the 2019 St George Local Business Awards, and nominations are now open.
Mayor Kevin Greene said that the Awards aim to recognise the hard work undertaken by small local business owners, including their contribution by way of employment generation for the local community, and more broadly to the Australian economy.
“Business owners can be nominated for displaying a range of values including great service, commitment, innovation, generosity and leadership – it’s up to the public,” said Mayor Greene.
“Council believes the St George area is a great place to start a business, and we’re very pleased to be able to support recognition of small local businesses through the Awards.
“The public will have the opportunity to nominate their favourite local businesses in a selected category, and I urge people to get involved and reward businesses who are providing positive personal experiences for their customers or leading by example in other ways,” added Mayor Greene.

Nominations for the Awards opened on Monday 18 February and will close on Tuesday 12 March.  Winners will be announced at the prestigious Local Business Awards Gala Presentation to be held at Sharkies Leagues Club on Wednesday 8 May 2019.
