Music at Twilight Concert Series

Georges River Council Administrator, John Rayner is pleased to announce that the former Kogarah City Council’s seasonal concert series, Music at Twilight, will be continuing as scheduled.

Mr Rayner said for over six years, the former Kogarah City Council has been running the event, and the next one scheduled for Wednesday, 1 June 2016.

"This is just one of the many events organised under the former Kogarah City Council that will continue under the new Georges River Council," he said.

"First launched in April 2010, each concert showcases a different genre and musical talent."

"This concert will feature instrumental talents of swing era Ragtime, with
Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters, who promise to deliver that high-energy music that the interwar period is so instantly recognisable for."

Mr Rayner said, in the past, the concerts have been very well received by music-loving residents and visitors to the Georges River region.

"These concerts are strongly patronised and have a very loyal following, with some having attended every concert," he said.

"We are very pleased to see these events continue throughout the year which have been a great source of entertainment for many people."

The concert series for 2016 is sponsored by St Patrick’s Green Retirement Village.

Please note that this is an accessible event. When booking your ticket please include a comment requesting accessible seating priority for yourself and your friends and family.

Another concert will be held on Wednesday, 3 August and showcase the very best of Gilbert and Sullivan. Stay tuned for details!
