'Lux is Light' photo exhibition at Dragon’s Lair part of Head on Photo Festival

Hurstville Museum & Gallery invites the public to the photographic exhibition Lux is Light which will be on display at Dragon’s Lair Gallery from 6 – 28 May 2017, with the official opening on Saturday 13 May at 2.00pm.

Lux is light is being held in conjunction with the Head On Photo Festival and will be showcasing the diversity of members of the St George Leagues Club Photographic Society, one of the largest amateur photographic clubs in NSW.

Head On Photo Festival is on from 5 – 28 May 2017 at 100 different venues, with 180 exhibitions and events showcasing 800 artists.

The exhibition speaks to shadows that hide or disguise, from the darkness of mental health, to the beauty of memory, patterns of light and shade, and the drama where light clashes and contests the quality of light or communicates a sense of place.

Fine Art Photographer, Susan Buchanan, will be guest speaker at the official opening.

Susan is a member of Nebuli Arts Group and divides her time between producing her own photographic work and mentoring others in producing photographic art.
