Hurstville set to swing with its first Music at Twilight concert

The Hurstville Entertainment Centre is set to swing as Georges River Council brings Music at Twilight to town on Wednesday 7 June 2017.

The first ever Music at Twilight event to be held in Hurstville will be The Australian Army Band Salutes – ‘Great Hits of the Swing Era’, which will have you tapping your feet and singing along to famous tunes from the 30s and 40s.

Classics to be performed will include ‘In the Mood’, ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’, ‘Begin the Beguine’, ‘Chattanooga Choo Choo’ and ‘Take the ‘A’ Train.

The Australian Army Band is widely acknowledged as one of Australia’s most dynamic music ensembles and they offer vibrant enthusiasm, tight section playing and show-stopping soloists.

Currently under the command of Major Matt Chilmaid, the Australian Army Band has a distinguished military lineage dating back to 1872, making it the second longest continuous serving military outfit in Australia.

Given the popularity of these shows we encourage people to purchase their tickets early, and get set to swing, swing, swing!
