Hurstville Golf Course to undergo exciting transformation

Hurstville Golf Course is set for the commencement of Stage 1 course upgrade works, which is focused on improving play for professional and amateur local golfers.

Council has engaged a golf architect to design future course improvement works based on Council’s vision for Hurstville Golf Course, which was developed in consultation with key stakeholders. Two stages of course improvements works have been designed which include the construction of six green complexes, thirteen tee complexes and two fairways.

Stage 1 of the works is set to commence in December 2020, and is focused on increasing ‘playability’ and amenity of the course through the construction of central sections of the course, including the construction of a practice putting green. Stage 1 works are expected to be completed by May 2021, weather and conditions permitting.
A shortened course in sections has been developed in conjunction with relevant stakeholders to ensure continued play of the course during the construction period.
These upgrades are part of a broader program of course improvements which will include future course and club house construction. Funding for Stage 1 of these works has been provided by the NSW Government’s Stronger Communities Fund and Hurstville Golf Club.
