Have your say for Council’s new Disability Inclusion Action Plan

Georges River Council is inviting all members of the local government area to help in creating Council’s new Disability Inclusion Action Plan.
The new Plan will outline how Council will work towards being more inclusive and accessible for people with a disability in the local community. This will include areas such as Council-owned venue and facilities, services, activities and events.
To help in providing ideas or comments for the new Plan, a confidential survey has been launched.
Community members will be able to participate in the survey from Monday 23 January until Friday 10 February 2017.
You can access the survey online via Council’s website at
Georges River Council will also be hosting a community consultation session for the new Disability Inclusion Action Plan at Hurstville Library on Thursday 9 February 2017.
This session will provide an opportunity for community members to ask questions about the new Plan, while also providing an opportunity to contribute and discuss ideas.
All members of the community are strongly encouraged to take part in the survey or the community consultation session at Hurstville Library.
For more information about the new Disability Inclusion Action Plan or the survey, please contact Georges River Council Community Development Officer, Ageing and Disability, Maria Athanasopoulos via 9330 6400 or by email at
