Have Your Say on Council’s draft Car Parking Strategy

Georges River Council has prepared a draft Car Parking Strategy, which aims to improve parking facilities and efficiency within commercial centres in the Georges River area.
Mayor of Georges River Council Kevin Greene is urging community members to review the strategy and share feedback when the document is on public exhibition towards the end of July 2019.
“We know that parking is an important issue for our community, and the draft Car Parking Strategy will ensure we are able to effectively plan to better meet the existing and future needs of our community’s parking requirements,” explained Mayor Greene.
“The strategy will review the existing public car parking available in the commercial centres across the Georges River Council local government area, and will make recommendations for improvements.
“I strongly encourage local residents to review the draft strategy and share their feedback so that the final plan is reflective of the needs of the entire community,” added Mayor Greene.
Council resolved to exhibit the draft Car Parking Strategy at its Council Meeting on Monday 27 May 2019, along with Council’s position paper on the recommendations of the draft. Both documents will be on public exhibition throughout July and August 2019.
The draft strategy will be placed on public exhibition at yoursay.georgesriver.nsw.gov.au by the end of July 2019.
