Get set to swing ‘…at the Civic!’

05/05/2017

Some of Australia's finest performers will be taking the stage over the coming months at Hurstville Entertainment Centre's intimate Civic Theatre for Georges River Council's ‘...at the Civic!’ series of concerts.

The first concert to be showcased is ‘Swings Like Crazy’...at the Civic!’ featuring Andy Firth and Kevin Hunt.

Andy Firth is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding jazz clarinet players in the world.

Having played with some of the finest performers and ensembles in both classical and jazz music, his mastery of the clarinet and saxophone, expression of tone and technique has earned Andy a reputation as a performer not to be missed.

Kevin Hunt is a jazz pianist-composer who has performed regularly in the Sydney jazz scene since 1979.

Throughout the 1990s Kevin, along with Steve Hunter and David Jones, formed the modern jazz trio ‘Tree’, has also worked with Australian jazz maestro Don Burrows, and in 2000 released a double CD entitled ‘Eye for Eye Vol 1 & 2’.
