Drag Royalty, Bubbles and Dutch-inspired Breakfast at Live Eurovision Party

Hello Rotterdam…this is Georges River calling!

The world’s favourite song contest is back and so is Georges River Council’s Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final broadcast party.
Eurovision fans are invited to share their love for diverse pan-European music, elaborate staging, costume reveals and the largest congregation of sequins and wind machines in the world.
The grand final will be aired live on the big screen at Hurstville’s Civic Theatre, giving partygoers an immersive experience with theatre-quality sound and vision.
For the ultimate Eurovision party, multi-award-winning drag queen Charisma Belle will be hosting the entire event, and fellow Sydney Drag Royalty artists, Hannah Conda and Carmen Geddit, will join her during the interval for a spectacular Eurovision medley. Move over, Oxford Street!
There will be many prizes on offer, with a lucky door raffle and a trivia winner. Or if fashion is more your thing…dress to impress, dahhhling, with glitz and glamour befitting of the Eurovision stage and the Best Dressed Award.
With limited seating available, bookings are essential. Tickets include free entry and either a glass of sparkling wine, freshly brewed coffee, or a selection of teas. Or if you’re feeling peckish, Douze Points Packs are on offer for $15 each, including a Dutch-inspired breakfast and three vouchers for bubbles, coffee or tea.
Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene says, “We celebrate our cultural diversity here in the Georges River Local Government Area and we are proud to be the home of Eurovision-lovers, with 66.1% of our community identifying their ancestry to be from at least one of the countries participating in this year’s contest.”
Flags from all Eurovision finalists will be available for guests to wave at the broadcast party, while they also cheer on Aussie entrant, Montaigne.
Set your alarms, don a fabulous outfit and join us as we singalong to Montaigne belting out Technicolour, and cross our fingers that 2021 will be the year Australia takes home the coveted Eurovision trophy.
With flying to the Netherlands off the cards, this will be the closest thing to a European summer this year.
