Council's Kogarah Customer Service Team to move to Kogarah Library and Cultural Centre

Georges River Council will soon be offering a one-stop-shop for residents of the local area at Kogarah Library and Cultural Centre where they will be able to access both library and Council business services.

The one-stop-shop, set to be available from Monday 3 April 2017, will be created through the relocating of Council’s Kogarah-based Customer Service Team from its current location to the library in Kogarah Town Square, Belgrave Street.

As part of creating the one-stop-shop, the library will also be renovated and equipped with the technology and capabilities needed to assist all customers with enquiries, services and payment needs. These renovations are expected to be undertaken later this year.

In moving the Kogarah Customer Service Team to the library, it will be business as usual and residents will be able to continue to access all the services they currently do from the Kogarah Service Centre.

These include being able to make payments such as rates, receive planning advice, register pets, submit applications such as Development Applications, or even report maintenance issues in the local area.

As part of the relocation of the Kogarah Customer Service Team, the library’s opening hours will be extended to commence at 8.30am from Monday to Friday.

This change will help to ensure residents can continue accessing Council services during usual business hours (8.30am-5.00pm).

Directions to Kogarah Library and Cultural Centre from the current Kogarah Service Centre are available on the attached map.
