Council makes it easier to access services this Queen’s Birthday public holiday

31/05/2018

As part of a sustained effort to improve the customer experience with Council services and facilities, both Kogarah Library and Service Centre and Hurstville Library and Service Centre will be open on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.

Between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Monday 11 June it will be business as usual, with customers able to visit the libraries in Hurstville and Kogarah and access Council’s customer service team at Kogarah Library and Service Centre.

This is the first time in the Georges River area that library and customer service facilities will be open on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.

The trial aims to gauge the community’s response to using libraries and customer service on public holidays, with the potential of having these services available on future public holidays.

Hurstville Library and Service Centre is located at the corner of Queens Road and Dora Street, Hurstville, and Kogarah Library and Service Centre is located at Kogarah Town Square, Belgrave Street, Kogarah.

Georges River Civic Centre in Hurstville will be closed on Monday 11 June, with Oatley Library open 10.00am-1.00pm Saturday 9 June, Penshurst Library open 9.30am-4.00pm Saturday 9 June and 2.00pm-5.00pm Sunday 10 June, and South Hurstville Library open 10.00am-1.00pm Saturday 9 June. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday 12 June.
