Council invites Chinese-speaking community to solar power information session


Council invites residents of the Chinese-speaking community to come along to an information session about installing solar power in their home.

The session, which will show how to produce green energy, will run on Thursday 15 March from 5.45pm to 6.45pm at Hurstville Library, with light refreshments served.

Attendees will develop an understanding of how solar works and how much it costs to install, find out whether solar and batteries are right for their household, and learn practical ways to reduce their home electricity bill.

The session is run in partnership with Our Energy Future, a free program to assist residents reduce the cost of their home energy bills and minimise their environmental footprint.

Residents unable to attend this information session are encouraged to contact Our Energy Future via 1300 339 915 for advice about solar panel installation and help in applying for rebates.
