Council’s pop-up library opens at Westfield Hurstville

Locals now have a new reason to visit Westfield Hurstville with the opening of Georges River Council’s Salon Bibliothèque, a pop-up library offering a calm oasis in the shopping centre.
The library offers a selection of its latest resources that customers can kick back and read in the space, or borrow with their library card. Not a member? Join on the spot!
Staffed by Georges River Library employees, customers can access information on Council services and receive assistance navigating the Council website. People of all ages can take part in a range of free activities, like letterpress printing, electronic synthesising and computer coding.
Salon Bibliothèque will also offer visitors the chance to learn about the local area’s past with a display curated by the library’s local history unit.
The pop-up library is located on Level 2 of Westfield, Hurstville. To see what’s on at the pop-up library and for further information, please visit
