Council’s 2017-2018 Operational Plan now on public exhibition

Administrator of Georges River Council, John Rayner, announced Council’s draft 2017-2018 Operational Plan and draft Budget and Schedule of Fees and Charges is now on public exhibition.

Mr Rayner said the public exhibition will commence from Friday 26 May and will be open until 23 June 2017.

“The draft Plan outlines key priorities for the organisation over the next 12 months,” he said.

“In particular, it looks at continuing to build on the achievements Council has made over the previous year while also showcasing the major projects that will be delivered for the community.

“These projects include key infrastructural works, improving local facilities and also enhancing services.”

“In the first 12 months of Council, I have worked to meet the priorities set by the former Hurstville City and Kogarah City Councils,” Mr Rayner added.

“Council has improved its communication, engagement and consultation, which the public exhibition of the draft 2017-2018 Operational Plan will continue building on.

“I encourage all residents, business owners and ratepayers to provide your feedback to Council during the public exhibition period, to ensure that everyone has their say.”
