Community’s feedback sought regarding Medium Density Housing

Georges River Council is seeking community feedback on its Draft Amendment to the Kogarah Development Control Plan (DCP), regarding Medium Density Housing.

The amendment aims to harmonise the Kogarah Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2012 and Kogarah DCP 2013 to address inconsistencies between the two documents, and resident concerns.

The document applies to development for the purposes of multi-dwelling housing and residential flat buildings within the R3 Medium Density Residential and R4 High Density Residential zones as defined in the Kogarah LEP 2012, but excludes the Kogarah North Precinct.

The proposed draft DCP Amendment will be on public exhibition in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the related Regulation.
