Families of the Georges River area will have no problem keeping the kids entertained these school holidays with Georges River Council’s School Holiday Program. The program offers a mix of affordable and fun interactive activities that will keep kids’ minds active and let their creativity run wild.

Ecology Workshop - Tuesday 2 October
Learn about our resident creepy crawlies and come up close and personal with some live insects as the Georges Riverkeepers paint a picture of our weird and wonderful backyard bugs. The kids will also get crafty and creative when they invent their very own dragonfly to take home.

My Garden Program - Wednesday 10 October
Little green fingers can unite to learn about the life of plants in this interactive terrarium-making class. Kids will leave with a headful of plant knowledge and their own garden artwork.

Young art lovers can get inspired by works of great artists, like Piet Mondrian, to create their own masterpiece at this hands-on art class.

Free movie screening, Peter Rabbit - Wednesday 3 October
Join Peter and his friends as they hop off on more adventures during a free movie screening for the school holidays. Starring James Corden, Fayssal Bazzi and Domhnall Gleeson, the movie is sure to delight the kids and have them smiling from ear to ear.

Epic Fail Tales with Matt Cosgrove - Wednesday 3 October
Bookworms and budding writers will love this workshop with author and illustrator Matt Cosgrove. His latest series, Epic Fail Tales are wacky, action-packed retellings of well-known stories with loads of twists and bellyfuls of laughs. Matt will talk about his inspiration for ideas and teach you how to create your own zany heroes and monsters.

Free Virtual Archaeology Tour – Friday 12 October
Step into a world of archaeological wonders in Greece – without even getting on a plane. IntoLearning has partnered with Dr Craig Barker to take kids on a guided tour of the fascinating wonders of the ancient world. Using virtual reality, kids will travel back in time as they wander through major archaeological sites in Greece.
