Anderson Park playground gets marine makeover

19/08/2020

Anderson Park, situated in a scenic waterfront location on Vista Street in San Souci, is the home of a new inclusive boat shaped playground featuring new play equipment, rubber soft fall surfacing, bench seating and a shade sail.

Georges River Council ran community consultation on its Your Say platform in December last year, calling for residents to share feedback regarding the development of a new playground at the site.

Mayor of Georges River Council Kevin Greene thanked the community for their contributions during the consultation phase of the project.

“I am delighted to continue the nautical theme at Anderson Park with this new playground, which is certainly one of the most picturesque spots in the Georges River area for kids to play.

“Council continues to upgrade playground facilities across the Georges River area so that local families can easily access areas for play close to their homes, and I would like to thank residents for their continued support of such projects,” added Mayor Greene.
