Have your say on the design of new Meade Reserve adventure playground

Meade Reserve playground is set for a major facelift and Georges River Council is asking the community for feedback regarding what features should be included in the concept designs for the park. Final concept designs have been prepared for Council with a focus on inclusive adventure play elements that will encourage creative and active outdoor play.

Mayor, Kevin Greene is encouraging people to have their say on the concept designs.

“We want the redesign to be well considered, and to have the kind of inclusions that meet the community’s needs now and into the future,” he said.

“Modern park designs can offer a great deal for young children, especially in terms of providing experiences for children of all ages and abilities.

“We’ve come a long way from the standard slide and swings. We can now offer those inclusions and much more, including research-based designs that enable active living, challenge kids’ bodies and engage their minds.

“Community members can head to ‘Your Say’ on Council’s website and click on the Meade Reserve Playground link where they can provide feedback on the concept designs,” added Mayor Greene.

Once the design is finalised, construction of the playground is scheduled to begin in March 2019. To provide feedback for the Meade Reserve playground design, please visit
