Olds Park Skate Park and Netball Courts Precinct


Council has engaged a contractor to construct the highly anticipated Olds Park Skate Park and Netball Court Precinct. The work will include the demolition of the existing degraded facilities and the creation of a new active recreation zone. Featuring a modern skate park and consolidated five netball courts (two with multi-sport capacity).

This project is funded by the NSW Government in association with Georges River Council under the Greater Cities Sport Facility Fund.
 

Current access

There will be no public access to the current netball courts and skate park areas during this time. Pedestrian detours around the work zone will be in place.

Notification of construction has been given to surrounding residents, sporting clubs and broader community through letterbox drops and site signage. Alternative sporting venues have been offered to netball by Council’s Programming and Operations Team to mitigate impact for the remaining period of the 2023 season.
 

Work Schedule

June 2023 – December 2023, with works generally being carried out during the following times:

  • Monday - Friday: 7.00am to 6.00pm.
  • Saturdays: 8.00am to 1.00pm (if required).
