Charles Pirie Reserve Accessible Amenities

Funding: $750,000 Greater Sydney Sports Facility Fund, $500,000 asset management revenue and $500,0000 general revenue
Charles Pirie Reserve is the home of the Carss Park Football Club and the special needs program, St George Warriors. The development of the new amenities block at Charles Pirie Reserve provides our community with an innovative, safe, inclusive and fully compliant facility. 

The Charles Pirie Reserve amenities block incorporates the following features:
  • Each change room includes a compliant change facility which meets Australian Standards (AS 1428.1)
  • Six accessible off street parking spaces to allow for ease of access to the amenities block and field
  • Wider door openings and circulation spaces to comply with Australian Standards (AS1428.1)



 
 

Meade Park Adventure Playground

Works Start Date: April 2019
Works End Date: June 2019
Location: Meade Park, Allawah
Funding: $600,000 Council funding
Improvement works completed at Meade Reserve were associated with the expansion and improvement of the existing passive and recreational amenity within a highly utilised playground. The design and construction of a new inclusive adventure playground, including landscaping and picnic facilities, along with the construction of an amenity building has provided the local community with an inclusive playspace that is easy to access, easy to move around, provides a range of play options and challenges, and has appropriate facilities in a comfortable environment.
