Georges River is a safe place.
Council conducts quarterly reviews of local crime statistics in conjunction with the St George Local Area Command (Police) and responds to this information strategically to maintain community safety while targeting problem areas appropriately.
Crime statistics are developed from reported crimes. It is extremely important to always report a crime to the Police regardless of how small it seems. High levels of reporting allows us to have an accurate depiction of safety issues in the community.
Reports to the Police can be made online, by phone or in person at any Police Station.
Current Crime Statistics
The Georges River area is one of the safest Local Government Areas in NSW with the majority of crimes reported locally recording either a stable or declining trend in the number of occurrences.
The full list of crime statistics is available online.
