Council is supporting 27 local community groups from across the Georges River Council area as part of the Stronger Communities Fund Program.
Established by the NSW Government in 2016, the Stronger Communities Fund Program was designed to provide newly amalgamated Councils with funding to kick start the delivery of projects, improve local infrastructure, services and support community groups.
As part of the program, $1 million was allocated for local not-for-profit community groups to apply for grants up to $50,000.
