COVID-19 – Information about Council’s Grants Programs

Council recognises that the COVID-19 pandemic is having unprecedented effects in our community. In light of the cancellation or postponement of most community events and engagement activities, please be advised of the following regarding Council’s Grants Programs.
The timeframe for completion and acquittal of your funded projects may be extended if you are unable to carry out your agreed programs and activities as a result of COVID-19.

Formal notification will be sent to all grant recipients in due course, as we review the implications for each funded program. We are presently identifying options for flexibility for grants recipients, and appreciate your patience in this matter.

Doing It Differently is a community grants initiative being offered to community members and local community groups in the Georges River Council area. The Doing It Differently grants are delivered in partnership with Georges River Council, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Health Promotion Service and Calvary Health Care Kogarah.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available per project. Doing It Differently will fund ideas that aim to:

1. improve community health and wellbeing;
2. create well connected communities;
3. reduce social isolation and loneliness;
4. create long lasting change in communities.
