GRYfest - Georges River Youth Festival

Youth Week is a week-long celebration held in April each year that is organised by young people, for young people, in communities across the state.

Following the success of the NSW Youth Week program, Youth Week became a national event in 2000. National Youth Week is jointly supported by the Australian government, state and territory governments and local governments.

The Youth Week theme for 2024 is: Express. Empower. Get loud!

For more information, visit the NSW Government Youth Week 2024 webpage.

What are we doing

Local youth are invited to celebrate Youth Week with a range of programs and free events popping up throughout the Georges River local government area in April 2024.

‘GRYFest’ has been designed in consultation with Council’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) and local youth services to ensure it aligns with the needs and interests of local youth.

Engaging programs will provide young people with access to the beautiful, and inclusive facilities and green spaces that the local government area provides, as well as witness the talents of up and coming amateur musicians connected to Georges River.
