Council is committed to improving road safety through programs and educating the community on road safety issues. We are a part of the Local Government Road Safety Program (LGRSP), which sees Council work with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to improve road safety within our community. This allows us to employ a Road Safety Officer who will identify road safety issues and works closely with affected stakeholders and the wider community to help address these road safety issues and behaviours. As a part of the road safety program (LGRSP) the Road Safety Officer develops a road safety action plan which addresses local road safety issues and at risk groups that aims to improve these issues within the community.
