Georges River Art Prize 2021

 

COVID-19 update: The Georges River Art Prize 2021 will now run from 13 November – 20 January 2022.

The Georges River Art Prize is an opportunity for artists from all over Australia to display their best work. There are categories for painting and sculptural work, children and youth, and local artists. The Georges River Art Prize is hosted by Hurstville Museum & Gallery and the Clive James Library and Service Centre, Kogarah, and offers $20,000 in prize money.

Announcement of winners livestream

We invite you to join us for the announcement of the Georges River Art Prize 2021 winners, which will be livestreamed on Friday 12 November 2021.

Visiting the exhibition

The 2021 Georges River Art Prize exhibition is located over two sites. Hurstville Museum & Gallery displays the finalists works in the Painting and Sculpture Prizes and Clive James Library and Service Centre, Kogarah displays the finalists of the Youth and Little Artist Prizes. Both venues are free to visit during opening hours. To enter these facilities visitors will be required to check in, and show staff proof of their double vaccination status or medical exemption.
 

Self-guided visits

If you plan on visiting the Georges River Art Prize 2021 at Hurstville Museum & Gallery with a group of 5 or more people, please book a self guided visit by emailing museumgallery@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au.
 

Guided tour

Book in a private group tour of the exhibition by requesting a date and time at least two weeks in advance of when you would like to visit. Please email Hurstville Museum & Gallery on museumgallery@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au to submit your request and a staff member will contact you to confirm your booking. Tours run for 30-40 minutes.

Cost: $4.50 (minimum of $45.00)
